Graphic design plays a vital role in any internet marketing campaign. Design and colors can stimulate different emotions as follows:
Black – represents class, courage, power, authority, alluring and pure evil. Color black is the best for text on a white or a lighter shade background. DO NOT USE FOR BACKGROUNDS!
Blue – stimulates accuracy, authenticity, constancy, faithfulness, fidelity, honesty, loyalty, safety, security, soundness, steadfastness, trustworthiness. Color blue is by far one of the popular colors on the web.
Brown – includes capableness, civility, wealth and earthiness
Gray – honesty, influence, and common sense, it also stimulates time-honored and old-fashioned.
Green – is considered to be one of the most pleasant colors to the eye. It generally represents prosperity, health, fruitfulness, medicinal, environmental awareness.
Orange – invites good humor, enjoyment, fresh, kind, happy, lively and strength.
Pink – a supple, sugary, femaleness and purity.
Red – offers power, sex, joy, passion, speed, danger, aggressiveness, and demands attention. It is also associated with debt. Certain studies have shown that Red can increase heartbeat and breathing rate.
Violet – suggests pride, holiness, noble, opulence, riches and power.
White – includes truthfulness, cleanliness, and devotion. White can be considered the best color for backgrounds.
Yellow – stimulates feelings about; warmth, delight, gladness, fearfulness, and envy.
Now please understand that when using colors stricly based on above description you also have to keep in mind the purpose of your creative is. For instance – red and orange can bothe be used to stimulate an action – call to action.
